Single Vineyard wines are the smallest production unit under South African wine law and the vineyard sites must not be any larger than maximum 6 hectares.
Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
The vineyard for this Cabernet Sauvignon is situated on the slopes of the Hawequa Mountains where the special microclimate and low yields result in a complex and concentrated wine.
The wine is matured in French oak barrels for 12 months followed by maturation in the bottle for 36 months.
The wine is deep crimson in colour with aromas of blackcurrant as well as a touch of cedarwood, vanilla and violets.
On the palate this Cabernet Sauvignon is beautifully rich and smooth with elegant tannins and an opulent finish.
